Cientifico Latino Graduate Student Mentorship Initiative

For two years, I was a mentor for Cientifico Latino's Graduate Student Mentorship Initiative (GSMI), mentoring students from underrepresented backgrounds (people of color, international students, gender minority, etc.) through their graduate school applications to STEM programs, particularly in astronomy/physics - something that I struggled with not many years ago. I have mentored multiple students one-on-one throughout their application timeline, including providing feedback on application materials such as personal statements, and offering mock interviews for graduate programs.
